About our International Removals
Are you relocating overseas? Barans Removals undertook our first overseas relocation back in the 1980’s. A lot has changed since then in the process and regulations that are required, but we have also changed to accommodate them and make your relocation as easy as possible from the first contact with us through to final delivery the other side of the world. We are founder members of the National Guild of Removers and Storers and our membership helps us to keep up to date with the transport industry around the World. We offer the following International removals options:
Sole-use Container
The service is direct and transit times are shorter than shared or groupage service.
We will come in, pack, export wrap and prepare all your furniture and belongings a few days prior to the collection day.
We will then arrange for the container to be positioned and loaded at your residence sealed and transported to the port to be shipped on the appropriate vessel for your international removals destination.
Upon arrival our agent would arrange your customs clearance and then delivery to your residence. The container seal is then broken (unless customs have checked the shipment) and the furniture and personal effects off loaded, checked against the original inventory, placed into your new residence and the packing materials removed.
Groupage Container
If the goods that you need to ship are not enough to fill an entire container, then you could always consider sending them via Groupage Shipping. This type of shipping involves grouping your goods together with other customers that are travelling to the same destination, so that they can make up full containers. This is also known as consolidation and it is the cheapest and most efficient way to transport goods.
We will still pack and export wrap your goods, but will then use a conventional lorry to collect your possessions. These will then be brought back to our storage facilities and added to a partially loaded container.
With both methods, an inventory will be made and constantly checked to make sure that everything is delivered on arrival.

Storage Services
If you have a delay between the sale of your home in the UK and purchase of your new home overseas, then please ask us to quote you for storage for the time in between collection and delivery. Read more about our

Car Transport
Alongside your household contents, we can add a car to your shipping container if you would like us to, this will add to the cost, but could speed up shipments by filling a container for yourself.
